Put down the smartphone without worrying about missing a quotable moment. Kapture is a recorder that latches onto your wrist and stores 60 seconds of audio at a time. The device constantly records sound, so no memorable moment passes without the chance to be saved forever. If one of those moments happens, the wearer pushes a button and the device stores the clip for later editing or organizing.
The company plans to launch a Kickstarter campaign on Sept. 3 with a goal of raising $150,000. Considering the premium on wrist real estate with smart watches jamming up the tech rumor mill, Kapture could have a difficult time competing for space.
